Firetruck photography comes from the work itself. As a firetruck mechanic for the FDNY, I know these apparatus up close—the lines, the equipment, the wear that shows what they do. I photograph them the way I see them every day: as machines built for a job, with the details most people never get to look at. These images are meant to show the trucks clearly, not just as symbols.
